The Vase Series

In this workshop we will! draw with and apply Watercolor as well as combinations of mediums and techniques to create several different styles of flowers in a vase. This will be an Ongoing series that will take place once a month for 12 months. The goal of completing a series of 12 or more paintings and/or Drawings to help us develop our personal style thru a simple theme. With demos and great exercises, you will gain a stronger confidence when applying these techniques. Our goal is for you to walk away with new tips and one or more finished pieces and lots of beautiful studies.

My personal style is a contemporary approach to line study and gesture - it’s what comes naturally to me, but I encourage my students to experiment and work in developing their own style.

OUTLINE and WHAT YOU NEED:

Pencils, Ink Pens, Watercolors, Watercolor brushes, watercolor paper, water container, paper towels, ink, color pencils.

Optional supplies: thin sketch paper such as bond paper for initial drawings, masking tape, charcoal.
