Winter Landscapes

This workshop will! dive into Pencil, Charcoal, ink and Watercolor strategies and techniques for Winter landscapes. With simple samples and great exercises, you will gain a stronger confidence when applying these techniques. Our goal is for you to walk away with new tips and one or more finished pieces and lots of beautiful studies.

My personal style is a contemporary approach to line study and gesture - it’s what comes naturally to me, but I encourage my students to experiment and work in developing their own style.

OUTLINE and WHAT YOU NEED:

Watercolors, Watercolor paper 11x14 - 100% cotton cold press, brushes, masking fluid, masking fluid brush, pencil, eraser, paper towels and water container, drawing paper, charcoal pencil or charcoal stick, paper blender, fixative, mixed media paper, ink pens and ink, Dr. Ph Martin’s bleed proof white ink, Dr Ph. Martens Black star India ink, Art Graf water soluble graphite stick.

Optional supplies: thin sketch paper such as bond paper for initial drawings, masking tape, alcohol, salt, color pencils.
