Ink Landscapes

In this workshop we will! explore combinations of lines, tools and techniques to draw beautiful ink Landscapes With great exercises, you will gain a stronger confidence when applying these techniques. Our goal is for you to walk away with new tips and one or more finished pieces and lots of beautiful studies.

My personal style is a contemporary approach to line study and gesture - it’s what comes naturally to me, but I encourage my students to experiment and work in developing their own style.

HOW IT WORKS:

Before the workshop starts I will send out a ZOOM invitation for all of our sessions. Each week I’ll email some reference images for us to work from. I will show you examples of concepts, techniques, forms, and examples of artists and their artworks. Then we sit and draw together. During class you can use the chat feature to comment or ask any questions. We can learn a lot from one another so it’s always wonderful to show your work to others. I love to make this workshop very interactive.

OUTLINE and WHAT YOU NEED:

Ink, Ink Pens, Nib pen, Pencil, small round brush for ink, hot press watercolor paper or ink drawing paper, water container, paper towels.

Optional supplies: thin sketch paper such as bond paper for initial drawings, masking tape, charcoal.
