Come along and sketch with your favorite mediums, inspired by the beautiful views of the Sydney Opera house. With amazing photo references we will fill our sketchbooks as we look at drawing techniques, lines, perspective, color and much more.

Sketching in Moscow

This workshop is all about Drawing! You’ll learn how to begin a drawing, how to create a compelling composition, how to see and draw negative space, to capture perspective, mood, action and so much more.. Our goal is for you to walk away with a beautiful finished piece and lots of beautiful sketches.

My personal style is a contemporary approach to line study and gesture - it’s what comes naturally to me, but I encourage my students to experiment and work in developing their own style.

OUTLINE and WHAT YOU NEED:

Materials: - The urban sketcher kit which consists of a watercolor or mixed media sketchbook, pencil or mechanical pencil, ink pens, watercolors and/or color pencils, eraser, watercolor brushes (round and flat), water container and towel or paper towels.

Optional supplies: thin sketch paper such as bond paper for initial drawings, masking tape, Prospekt proportional divider. charcoal or graphite powder.
