Drawing Rabbits + Squirrels

This workshop will be fluffy and furry. With a focus on how to begin a strong drawing in order to create a beautiful drawing of Squirrels and Rabbits in several different mediums. We will look at structure, textures, measurement methods to strengthen our drawing and develop confidence when developing a sketch. We will also look at quality of line with graphite and ink. Our goal is for you to walk away with new tips and one or more finished pieces and lots of beautiful studies.

My personal style is a contemporary approach to line study and gesture - it’s what comes naturally to me, but I encourage my students to experiment and work in developing their own style.

OUTLINE and WHAT YOU NEED:

This workshop will showcase different mediums week to week. Pencil set including 2h,HB, 2b and 4b, 9x12 Bristol Paper, kneaded eraser, Tombow mono zero eraser, small round synthetic brush, paper blender, ink, ink pens, nib pen, watercolor paper and/or Watercolor kit.

Optional supplies: thin sketch paper such as bond paper for initial drawings, masking tape, charcoal, pens, color pencils.
