Drawing Workshop

This workshop will! show you how to begin a strong drawing in order to create a beautiful portrait. We will look at head and facial anatomy tips to strengthen our drawing and develop confidence when adding detail to the features of the face. We will also dive into light and shadow studies. Our goal is for you to walk away with new tips and one or more finished pieces and lots of beautiful studies.

My personal style is a contemporary approach to line study and gesture - it’s what comes naturally to me, but I encourage my students to experiment and work in developing their own style.

OUTLINE and WHAT YOU NEED:

Pencil set, 9x12 Drawing Pad, kneaded eraser, small round synthetic brush, paper blender,

Optional supplies: thin sketch paper such as bond paper for initial drawings, masking tape, charcoal, pens, color pencils.
